What are the age limitations for children attending the Golf Camp?

We welcome boys and girls with a passion for golf aged 12 to 17 years old and a maximum of 20 players.

What golf level should the juniors have to attend the golf Camp?

While there is no handicap limit to attend the Camp, children must have some experience in playing on the golf course and be comfortable playing eighteen holes daily.

Which golf courses do the juniors play on?

The golf courses we play vary and depend on availability, but we aim to play four different courses per week as detailed in the attached information. The courses often played are Port Royal, 36 holes, Palmetto Hall, 36 holes, Shipyard, 27 holes and Oyster Reef, 18 holes. For more information visit Hilton Head section.

What kind of instruction is included in the golf Camps?

All our golf camps content daily instruction from Monday to Friday including, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, full swing with video analysis, trackman analysis, 9 holes play of on-course with the instructor and back nine of their own each afternoon.

How much pocket money should the children take to the Camp?

It depends on each family, but it is not advisable to carry a large amount of dollars in cash. It is preferable to carry a personalized debit card or some kind of payment system on the phone (F. Ex: Apple Pay).

Is there a laundry service at the facilities?

Yes, there is a public laundry service. It is not included in the full package, but it has very affordable prices.

What is the deadline for application?

There is no specific deadline, our experience from previous years is that places fill out very quickly. The maximum number of students in the 2024 Summer golf camp is twenty, and the places are taken by strict order of registration, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

How do I book for the junior golf camp?

To book your child on our Summer golf camp, simply complete the attached Registration Form, and the Attendance Contract which will be sent to you immediately. Once you have read and signed these two documents, simply return them by email and attach proof of payment. We will get in touch to confirm your child’s registration on the camp and provide additional instructions.

What if my child does not speak much English?

If a junior struggles with English, do not worry, we will always try to help! We encourage juniors to have at least a basic level of English, but we do have several multi-lingual staff looking after the juniors to help them and to ensure that they get the most from stay, understanding the coaches, staff and making new friends!

What golf equipment should my child bring to golf camp?

Most students bring their own golf clubs and bag, properly protected with the carrying bag required by the airline. Other students decide to take advantage of the much lower prices in the United States for all golf material and equipment and decide to buy it there. As a Titleist & FootJoy exclusive distributor, JPGA will offer the students who wish to buy Titleist or FootJoy equipment at special prices.

Who is supervising my child whilst they play golf?

Our staff is made up of multi-lingual PGA professionals and teachers. We are a qualified, experienced, and First Aid trained team and the safety of the juniors is always our priority. Juniors are supervised 24/7.

What about the safety of my child?

For the Organization, the safety and welfare of our students is our number one priority. Throughout the camps, juniors are supervised 24/7 by our trained staff who provide diligent safe care and support. The setting of our camps, Hilton Head Island, is renown as a very safe place within the United States, offering a fun and exciting environment for juniors to have one of the best experiences of their lives.

Do juniors need insurance?

The Travel and Primary Medical Assistance Insurance contracted by The Organization covers trips and minor accidents, and if necessary, the student will be assisted in a medical center by an appropriate medical professional.

In cases of emergency, it is highly recommended that the student’s parents take out appropriate travel and medical policies that cover emergency situations, cancellations, reduction, personal injuries, civil liability, personal accidents, damage, and loss of property.

The Organization will not be responsible for any damage to property caused by a student during their stay on Camps.

What swing analysis tools are used by the PGA instructors?

Trackman challenges utilize state-of-the-art technology to analyze and improve a junior’s swing and ball flight, providing real-time feedback for measurable progress.

Video analysis will be used to help juniors improve. It provides an in-depth look at swing mechanics, identifying areas of improvement and providing a visual aid to understand their technique.

Individual training delivered by an expert PGA professional. Each junior will receive personalized attention and customized training plans to improve specific areas of their game.

What type clothing and belongings should I bring to the Camp?

The full list of articles and belongings recommended to take for the Camp will be sent to the registered students once they have formalized and pay their registration fee.

Is a Visa required to enter in the United States?

Yes, to enter the United States, Spanish and European citizens need a visa or ESTA authorization. ESTA is an electronic authorization system that allows citizens of participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism, business, or transit for a period of up to 90 days without needing to obtain a visa.

To apply for ESTA, you must open the official website of the US Department of Homeland Security and complete a digital form with your personal data, travel, and eligibility information. You must also pay a fee of $21.00 USD with a credit card, PayPal, or Sofort Banking. The ESTA is valid for two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. It is recommended that you apply for ESTA at least 72 hours before travel.
